* Pastor David Smith of Ojai Valley Adventist Church will deliver the message "How's Your Marriage, Jerry?" today. Communion will also be celebrated.

Services are held at 10:45 a.m. each Saturday and include contemporary and traditional Christian music. Bible study begins at 9:30 a.m.

* Pastor Phil Robillard will continue a sermon series Sunday titled "Jesus of Nazareth, Friend of Sinners" at Vineyard Christian Fellowship in Thousand Oaks. The church will hold its worship celebration at 10:05 a.m.

A nursery and Sunday school classes are provided, while those who are high school or college age remain for the regular service.

* St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Oxnard will continue its Lent worship celebration with Communion on Sunday at 10:15 a.m. Child care is available for children up to age 4. Also Sunday, the Rev. Victor Salas will lead a Spanish-language Bible study session at 12:30 p.m.; the Japanese ministry worships at 2 p.m., led by the Rev. Shiro Kato.

* St. Columba's Episcopal Church in Camarillo will offer "A Meditation on the Passion of Christ With Anthems and Carols" at 4 p.m. Sunday. The service is based on a program performed at St. John's College in Cambridge, England, and is divided into three parts: Gethsemane, the Trial and the Crucifixion. The program includes scripture readings from the Old Testament, plus music by Tchaikovsky, Rutter and American folk hymns. A freewill offering will be taken.

* Guest speaker Jeremy Taylor will lead services on Sunday at Unitarian Universalist Church of Ventura. Taylor is billed as an "internationally renowned innovator in group process dream work."

Services will be at 9:15 and 11 a.m. Child care and religious education are available during the first service. The church is at 4949 Foothill Road.

* The Rev. Lynne Austin will continue a Lenten sermon series Sunday with a message titled "Abundance" at St. Matthew's United Methodist Church in Newbury Park. Worship services are at 8:30 and 10 a.m.

* The Rev. Craig Brown will deliver the sermon "All Eyes on Jesus" on Sunday at United Methodist Church of Thousand Oaks. The sermon will be based on John 12:1-8.

Services are held each Sunday at 9:45 and 11 a.m. Adult ministries meet at 8:45 a.m.; youth ministries, 9 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.; children ministries, 9:45 a.m., and children's worship, 11 a.m. Child care is available from 8:45 a.m. to noon.

* Guest speaker John M. Suarez will deliver the message "Is the Theocracy Coming? Do You Have the Right Clothes?" during the 10 a.m. Sunday service at Conejo Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship. There will be a discussion about the crumbling wall between church and state.

* Pastor James K. Bain Jr. will deliver the sermon "Something Beautiful" at 10 a.m. Sunday at First Presbyterian Church of Oxnard. The message will be based on John 12:1-8.

* Pastor Rob Calderhead will give a sermon titled "Learning to Breathe" on Sunday at United Methodist Church of Westlake Village. An informal interactive service meets at 8 a.m. in Alton Hall; casual attire is encouraged. Traditional worship services are held at 9 and 10:30 a.m. Sunday school classes for all ages meet at 9 a.m. Infant and toddler care is provided during each service.

On Sunday at 2 p.m. Patti May Cangiano, a Christian Science lecturer from Shasta Lake, will give a free talk on spiritual healing.
