Glendale College, seeded No. 6 in a Southern California baseball regional at Riverside, needed only one victory over the No. 3-seeded hosts on Sunday to advance to the second round next weekend.

But Riverside (40-7) avenged an earlier loss to Glendale (32-12) in the double-elimination tournament, winning 14-0 and 7-2 to advance to the second round.
