Murder Trial Sparks Interest in Rabbi's Book

November 13, 2001|From Times Wire Reports

Rabbi Adam Plony's book of spiritual guidance could now be of interest to fans of true crime.

Adam Plony, a Hebrew term for "Everyman," is a pseudonym for Fred J. Neulander, the rabbi accused of hiring hit men to kill his wife, Carol, in 1994.

Sales of Neulander's, "Keep Your Mouth Shut and Your Arms Open: Observations From the Rabbinic Trenches," published last week by Disc-Us Books, have been brisk.
