Long Beach Wilson def. Long Beach Poly, 12-15, 10-15, 15-3, 15-7, 15-10--The Bruins lost three times to their cross-town rival during the regular season, but won the match that counted most, the Division I-AA championship.

Cynthia Barboza had 26 kills, five in the rally-scored fifth game, and Emily Hendrickson had 23 kills for Wilson (24-7), which won its first section championship.

Jennifer Randall had 31 kills for top-seeded Poly (26-4), which defeated Wilson twice in Moore League play and in a match at the Las Vegas tournament.

San Clemente def. Lake Forest El Toro, 15-1, 15-8, 15-7--The Tritons won their first Southern Section championship by dominating El Toro in Division I-A.

Katy Daly had 15 kills and Megan Blackshire had 14 for top-seeded San Clemente (32-3), which also defeated El Toro twice in South Coast League play.

Kim Wilson had nine kills for unseeded El Toro (21-7).

Lakewood St. Joseph def. Garden Grove Pacifica, 15-9, 15-4, 15-7--Heather Laudato had 10 kills and four digs and Nicole Ridley had eight kills, four digs and 24 assists for the Jesters (21-10) in their Division III-AA sweep.

Linda Reyes had six kills and four blocks and Dana Larson had 13 digs for Pacifica (28-7).

Los Angeles Marymount def. Laguna Beach, 15-8, 15-3, 12-15, 15-5--Outside hitter Cara Thomason had 17 kills for the Sailors, who won the Division IV-AA title.

Haley Jorgensborg, who has committed to UCLA , had 12 kills, 18 assists and two aces for Marymount (31-4).

Sarah Salem had 19 kills and Brittany Wood had eight kills for Laguna Beach (20-5).

Hesperia Christian def. Santa Barbara Laguna Blanca, 3-15, 15-7, 15-13, 11-15, 18-16--Middle blockers Laura Gustin and Jenna Ratke combined for 24 kills and Sara Lewis gave Hesperia Christian (18-2) the title with the final kill in the Division V-AA championship match.

Gustin had 15 kills, including three in the fifth game, in which the teams were tied eight times. Ratke finished with nine kills, her last smash giving the Patriots match point.

Laguna Blanca finished 13-7.

Hemet Baptist Christian def. Santa Monica Lighthouse Christian, 12-15, 15-7, 15-1, 15-4--Jamie DeKiewiet had seven of her 26 kills in the second game for Baptist Christian and the Warriors (23-2) came from behind for their fourth consecutive Division V-A title.

Susan Young had 15 kills for Lighthouse Christian (19-2).
