Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi will visit President Bush at the White House on Monday.
Berlusconi has pledged strong support for the anti-terror campaign.
But he angered Muslim and Arab leaders last month when he said: "We must be aware of the superiority of our civilization, a system that has guaranteed well-being, respect for human rights and--in contrast with Islamic countries--respect for religious and political rights."
