2 Northern Defectors Arrive in the Capital

Two North Korean defectors arrived in Seoul from Singapore today, two days after seeking asylum at the U.S. Embassy in Beijing.

The pair, identified as Kim Ock Sil and Kim Moon Ok, entered the U.S. Embassy on Friday in a bid to settle in a third country. China allowed them to fly to Singapore a day later.

The pair's entry into the American Embassy came a day after an asylum bid at the German Embassy in Beijing by another North Korean, Oh Se Hyuk, 24.
