Ten people have been arrested, including a Robinsons-May employee, on suspicion of stealing about $10,000 worth of clothing from the Canoga Park department store, officials said Tuesday.
Each suspect was charged with one count of burglary, said Det. Robert Phan of the Los Angeles Police Department.
Officers arrived at the store in the Westfield Shoppingtown Topanga mall on Topanga Canyon Boulevard about 8:30 p.m. Monday, after witnesses saw thieves leaving the store in two cars filled with clothing, police said.
Arrested were Aaron Afzali, 30, of Upland; Monica Afzaoi, 31, and Feradoon Martin, 26, of Alta Loma; Anthony Molina, 18, Mario Molina, 21, and Anita Nava, 20, of Baldwin Park; Eric Rojas, 22, and Linda Rojas, 24, of Pacoima; Nadia Tejada, 22, of Rancho Cucamonga; and Ana Valdez, 18, of Fontana.
Each is being held in lieu of $15,000 bail at either the West Valley or Van Nuys jails.
Eric Rojas, a loss-prevention officer at the store, is suspected of being instrumental in the theft, Phan said.
Much of the clothing was recovered at the scene, Phan said.
