* Host Marriott Corp., owner of Marriott, Four Seasons and Ritz Carlton hotels, said fourth-quarter profit fell 73% to $42 million, or 16 cents a share, as travel dropped after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

* Fox Entertainment Group Inc. said it named Chief Executive Rupert Murdoch's son Lachlan to its board of directors. Lachlan Murdoch, 30, replaces Chase Carey, who resigned last month after the company's failed effort to buy DirecTV Inc.

* Diageo agreed to sell its Malibu coconut rum to arch-rival Allied Domecq for $798 million in a deal forced on Diageo as a condition of receiving regulatory approval for its part purchase of the Seagram drinks empire from Vivendi Universal.
