Booker Puts on a Show in All-American Bowl

Lorenzo Booker, The Times' Back of the Year, scored two touchdowns to help the West to a 26-6 victory over the East on Saturday in front of 17,185 in the second annual U.S. Army All-American Bowl at Alamo Stadium in San Antonio.

Booker, from Ventura St. Bonaventure High, scored on a two-yard run only 23 seconds into the game following a fumble recovery.

Booker, who on Friday was named the Ken Hall Award winner as the nation's outstanding high school football player, finished with 66 yards in 12 carries.

While at St. Bonaventure, Booker set Southern Section and state career records for yards rushing (8,502), touchdowns (137), touchdowns rushing (131) and points scored (882).

Also competing for the West was Carson's Eric McNeal, who had two solo tackles and an interception.
