Mangalore, on the southwest coast of India, produces delectable curries that are sweet with coconut milk, spicy with chiles and scented with curry leaves. You'll find one of them, chicken Mangalorean, at Surya Indian restaurant in Los Angeles. It's a combination of boneless chicken and creamy, rose-colored sauce seasoned with mustard seeds as well as curry leaves. Surya will pack the chicken to go either alone or as part of a combination dinner that includes rice, lentils, a vegetable and naan bread.
