Where: Pebble Beach Golf Links (6,816 yards, par 72), Spyglass Hill Golf Course (6,858 yards, par 72) and Poppy Hills Golf Course (6,833 yards, par 72).

Purse: $4 million. Winner's share: $720,000.

TV: USA (today-Friday, 3-6 p.m.) and CBS (Saturday, noon-3 p.m.; Sunday, noon-3:30 p.m.).

Last year: Davis Love III won for the first time since April 1998, closing with a 63 for a one-stroke victory over Vijay Singh. Love overcame a seven-stroke deficit in the first seven holes of the final round.

Last week: Chris DiMarco won the Phoenix Open, beating Kenny Perry and Japan's Kaname Yokoo by a stroke.

SENIOR PGA TOUR

Royal Caribbean Classic

When: Friday-Sunday

Where: Crandon Park Golf Club (6,893 yards, par 72), Key Biscayne, Fla.

Purse: $1.45 million. Winner's share: $217,000.

TV: PAX (Friday, 10 a.m.-noon) and CNBC (Saturday-Sunday, 11 a.m.-1 p.m).

Last year: Larry Nelson won the second of five 2001 titles, scoring 29 points under the Modified Stableford system to edge Japan's Isao Aoki by a point.

Last week: Hale Irwin won the Senior Skins Game for the third time in four years, taking the final 11 skins for a record $450,000. Jack Nicklaus earned $150,000, and Arnold Palmer and Fuzzy Zoeller were shut out.
