Home-buyer education: On Tuesday, a presentation on how to buy a house with little or practically no money down, with information on the L.A. city and county down-payment assistance program.

On Saturday, a daylong home-buyer educational workshop, focusing on many aspects of homeownership including credit and budgeting analysis.

Time: 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday; 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

Cost: Presented by the Apartment Assn. of Greater Los Angeles, the cost for AAGLA members is $49 in advance, $59 at the door; for nonmembers, $69 in advance, $79 at the door. Free parking and refreshments.

Architecture tours of L.A.: Privately guided driving tours in a 1962 Cadillac focus on the works of Frank Lloyd Wright, Greene & Greene, Paul Williams, Richard Neutra and other famous architects. Each tour concentrates on certain areas such as Hollywood, Silver Lake, Hancock Park/Miracle Mile, West Hollywood/Beverly Hills, Pasadena and downtown. Customized tours are available. Passengers are provided with guidebooks and maps to take home. Tours are available Saturday, Sunday and during the week by appointment.
