L.A. Unified Schedules Free Immunization Clinics

Free immunization clinics for children of all ages will be offered beginning Tuesday by the Los Angeles Unified School District.

Immunizations include Haemophilus influenzae type B (HiB), diphtheria, tetanus and acellular pertussis (DTaP), hepatitis A and B, polio and measles, mumps and rubella (MMR), in addition to the tuberculosis (TB) test.

Varicella, the chickenpox vaccine, will be available only at Devonshire Elementary School, the Local District C nursing office and the Local District K office clinics.

The TB test is also available to school district volunteers and employees, while the hepatitis B vaccine will be given to employees whose jobs put them at risk of contracting the disease.
