Pampas Grill: The Brazilian churrasco here includes skewered lamb, garlicky sirloin cap, bacon-wrapped chicken breast and Brazilian pork sausage, to name just a few. At the buffet-salad bar you can choose from more than 20 items, including collard greens, black beans, fried yuca (a starchy root) and hearts of palm salad. (Churrasco, $6.95 per pound; average plate is 1 to 1 1/2 pounds.) Pampas Grill, Farmers Market, Stall 618, 6333 W. 3rd St., Los Angeles, (323) 931-1928.

There's also a plato mixto entree: half a chicken, a skirt steak, short ribs, Argentine sausage, black sausage, sweetbreads, saffron rice and salad. (Mixed appetizer, $9.95; plato mixto, $28.95.) Gaucho Grill, many local branches.

Csardas: The "wooden plate" is heaped with deep-fried duck, a breaded veal cutlet, chicken breast and veal liver along with a grilled pork chop and Hungarian sausage. It comes with red cabbage sprinkled with caraway seeds and sour Hungarian pickles. (Wooden plate, $30.) Csardas, 5820 Melrose Ave., Hollywood, (323) 962-6434.

Lala's: This generous mixed grill is two grilled Argentine sausages, sweetbreads, a New York steak, a skirt steak, half a chicken and, for a little roughage, mixed green salad. (Mixed grill, $26.95.)
