Cambria Revisited

June 16, 2002

I enjoyed the article on Cambria ("Cambria's Seaside Stage," May 26), where we stayed some years ago in a delightful group of cottages near the ocean. I noted the word "boardwalk" in the article and assume that this meant a walkway made of wood planks laid over sandy areas to protect pedestrians, as they have in East Coast beach communities. Many people here mistakenly refer to any cement, stone or other pathway adjacent to the ocean as a "boardwalk."

Cambria's grooming, its restaurants and its people were well worth the long drive.
