June 22, 2002|From Times Staff and Wire Reports

The arraignment of a 21-year-old Mission Viejo woman accused of placing razor blades and nails at south Orange County playgrounds was delayed Friday after her attorney described her as "very mentally ill."

Superior Court Judge Carlton Biggs reset arraignment for Lori Elizabeth Fischer for July 29, after she undergoes psychiatric evaluation.

Deputy Public Defender Lisa Kopelman told reporters outside the courtroom that Fischer is on medication.
