The Argent, a high-rise hotel in downtown San Francisco that is rated four diamonds by AAA, is offering standard rooms for $99 per night for stays July 1 to 7. The rate, subject to availability, must be booked on the hotel's Internet site, www.argenthotel.com; it is not available by phone. Published rates for the 240 standard rooms are $349 to $419, a spokeswoman said. The hotel, at 50 3rd St., is two blocks from Union Square and includes a restaurant and fitness center.
