I find the almost total neglect by all the media to inform the public about the impending, serious decision to possibly extend the deadline for the ban on toxic MTBE in gasolines at year-end very puzzling and unfortunate. Any delay could result in continued seepage of MTBE into our water supply, and the consequences could be far more serious to the health of--and the cost to--all citizens of California. I hope this subject will be publicly vetted soon as a public service or obligation by the media.
