A federal judge sentenced a former senior auditor for the Times Mirror Co. to six months of home detention Monday for illegal insider trading connected to the company’s acquisition by the Tribune Co.
Daniel J. Wooten III, 38, of Torrance also was ordered to pay more than $76,000 in restitution, profits from his purchase of 2,285 shares of Times Mirror stock in March 2000 after receiving confidential information about the sale.
