Tuesday: Assemblywoman Hannah-Beth Jackson (D-Santa Barbara) and Fran Pavley, candidates for the California Assembly, will appear at the Greater Oxnard Organization of Democrats general meeting at 7:30 p.m. in the VFW Hall, 300 S. Thursday: A candidates forum sponsored by the Simi Valley Branch of AAUW and the Simi Valley PTA Council will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Simi Valley City Council chambers, 2929 Tapo Canyon Road. Six candidates running for two open seats on the Simi Valley School Board will present their views and answer questions from the audience.
