* Jeff Simmons, a 320-pound lineman, scored from 30 yards on a fourth-down, fourth-quarter fumblerooski to give Wildomar Elsinore a 14-7 victory over Moreno Valley Rancho Verde.

On fourth and two with 2:43 remaining, Huntington Beach Marina's Mark Spoolstra and Daniel Faulkenstein stopped Pat Harrigan, the Southland's leading rusher, to give Marina a 14-13 victory over Huntington Beach.



* Redlands East Valley scored three times in overtime and made its final conversion attempt to defeat Fontana, 41-40, in a Citrus Belt League game. Nathan Johns passed for 224 yards and three touchdowns, rushed for 106 and also blocked a point-after in the second overtime that prevented a Fontana victory.

* Edwards AFB Desert held Mojave running back Ronald Downing to three points -- a 20-yard field goal -- though he had averaged more than 17 points per game, in a 14-3 victory.

* Terrell Jackson rushed for 297 yards and three touchdowns to give Corona Centennial a 34-18 victory over rival Corona.

* Sophomore Michael Coleman of Arroyo Valley passed for 240 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for 254 and two touchdowns in a 48-0 victory over San Bernardino.
