With polls showing her main Democratic challenger gaining on her, former U.S. Atty. Gen. Janet Reno jumped in her red pickup truck and took to the road again.
Reprising the late February tour she used to reintroduce herself to voters, Reno kicked off an 11-day statewide journey in her Ford Ranger as partisan surveys showed her lead in the governor's race over Bill McBride shrinking.
Recent polls indicate a gap of only 5 to 6 percentage points between McBride and Reno. The primary is Sept. 10.
