Re "Simon Sees Layoffs as Volunteer Opportunity," Aug. 26: Republican gubernatorial nominee Bill Simon really doesn't get it, does he? Most people work for a paycheck, no matter how committed they are to a cause. Those born to wealth simply cannot conceive of how difficult life is for the majority of us. Simon says that 80% of those his campaign laid off chose to stay on as "volunteers." Could we have their names, please?
