Tax-Cut Cure

September 04, 2002

Re "Tax-Cut Hemorrhage," editorial, Aug. 29: Governments waste money through huge bureaucracies and fraud. Tax cuts keep money in the hands of private citizens, where it's used more efficiently. Also, inflation, not tax cuts or high deficits, leads to high interest rates. Congress should make last year's tax cut permanent--and seek even greater cuts.
