September 15, 2002|From Times Staff Reports

Cal Lutheran University's drama department will sponsor two performances of "That Day in September," a program memorializing the terrorist attacks on New York and the Pentagon.

The performances are scheduled for 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday in the Preus-Brandt Forum, 60 W. Olsen Road, No. 1800.

Artie Van Why, who worked in an office across the street from the World Trade Center, performs his firsthand account of how he picked up the pieces of his life after the Sept. 11 attacks and discovered hope and reverence for the heroes of that day.

The show is directed by Richard Masur, a character actor and two-time president of the Screen Actors Guild.

Performances of the show are also scheduled for Los Angeles this fall.

Admission is free. For more information, call 493-3151.
