Restoration of Historic Theater Buildings Is Lecture Topic

Designer Joseph Musil will talk about restoring historic theater buildings at 7 tonight at the First Lutheran Church, 215 N. Lemon St., Fullerton. Musil was a consultant for Disney and Pacific Theatres' award-winning restoration of the El Capitan, which reopened on Hollywood Boulevard in 1991.

This is part of a free lecture series presented by the Fullerton Historic Theatre Foundation to preserve the Italian Renaissance-inspired Alician Court Theatre (better known as the Fox Fullerton), which was designed in 1925 by the architectural firm of Mendell Meyer and Gabriel Holler. * An exhibit of architecture, design, graphic design, film and photography students' concepts for shaping a new vision of downtown Los Angeles opens at 7 tonight at the A+D Architecture and Design Museum in the Bradbury Building.
