$90 Million in Iraq Fund Goes to Ex-Hostages

Americans held hostage by the Iraqi government before the 1991 Persian Gulf War have been given more than $90 million in frozen Iraqi funds in damages, but the new round of fighting has muted their celebration.

"I am immensely upset about our own kids being over there fighting," said Jack Frazier, who went partially blind and suffered nerve damage while in Iraq.

Frazier, 65, a former oil worker, received $1.75 million -- the largest single award among the 180 plaintiffs, who include former hostages and their spouses.
