Diet Guru, 72, Is Still Critical After Fall
Diet promoter and author Dr. Robert C. Atkins remained in critical condition following surgery for severe head injuries he suffered in a fall on an icy sidewalk, his spokesman said.
A colleague rushed Atkins, 72, to a hospital after he fell Tuesday in Midtown Manhattan, spokesman Richard Rothstein said.
The extent of Atkins’ impairment might not be known for a few days, Rothstein said.
“There is no change in his condition. That’s not a good thing and it’s not a bad thing.”
