2 Plead Not Guilty to Murder in Death of Son

After their arraignment in Los Angeles County Superior Court, Sylvia Torres Rolon, 40, and Anthony Bill Lopez, 35, remained in custody in lieu of $1-million bail.

County prosecutors said the child, Isaac Lopez, was killed April 21 at Rolon's condominium in Lancaster, then driven away by his father. On Wednesday, authorities found Lopez's van in the San Gabriel Valley. Isaac's body was in a rear cargo area, stuffed in a black duffel bag, officials said.

If convicted, the couple could face life in prison.

Rolon's six other children, ages 4 months to 13 years, have been placed in protective custody. A preliminary hearing is set for May 8.
