A team effort in hosting the Emmys
Former Emmy Awards host Ellen DeGeneres will be back to do the honors again this year – but not alone. She’ll be part of a team of comics who will share the duties for the Sept. 21 broadcast on Fox.
Others who will be telling jokes on the TV industry’s big night include Garry Shandling, Jon Stewart, Wanda Sykes, Martin Short, Brad Garrett, George Lopez, Conan O’Brien and Darrell Hammond.
“We’ve searched high and low to find the funniest people in California who are not running for governor,” said Bryce Zabel, chairman of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. “It was a challenge, but this all-star comedy team promises to make America laugh without asking for campaign contributions.”
