Anti-West Message Attributed to Omar

A message attributed to the Taliban's reclusive leader, Mullah Mohammed Omar, bitterly attacked Western charities as the "greatest enemies of Islam and humanity." The authenticity of the two-page Pashto-language message, received by Associated Press in Pakistan, could not be verified.

In the southern and eastern parts of Afghanistan, international aid has dwindled to a trickle as jittery organizations have banned travel on most roads, fearing attacks by rebel fighters.
