Math scores -- The Aug. 16 special section on California's standardized tests for public schools should have included more information about how the state tests math students in eighth grade and above. The published chart showed how students did in Algebra I for eighth- and ninth-graders, geometry for 10th-graders and Algebra 2 for 11th-graders. However, the percentages shown did not include the performance of students who took different levels of math tests, such as eighth graders who took the geometry test or 10th graders who took Algebra I. A complete listing of all grades, schools and districts is available on the Internet at http://star.cde.ca.gov
