1 Man Dies, 3 Injured in Downtown Shootings

One man was killed and three men were injured by gunfire downtown on Sunday, police said.

The shootings occurred about 2 a.m. outside the Variety Arts Center at 940 S. Figueroa St., said LAPD Officer Don Cox.

Police patrolling the area heard the gunshots and found the wounded men. The four victims were taken to local hospitals, and one died at L.A. County-USC Medical Center, Cox said.
