March Election Will Fill College Trustee Seat

The South Orange County Community College District will hold an election March 30 to fill a vacant seat on its board of trustees.

Angry faculty led to the campaign to nullify the appointment of Eric Norby, brother and chief of staff of county Supervisor Chris Norby.

The vote will fill the job through November, when the seat will come up for regular election.

The Orange County Department of Education said the election will cost the district $400,000 to $800,000.
