Police returned fire when gunmen attacked thousands of Haitian marchers demanding the ouster of President Jean-Bertrand Aristide in Port-au-Prince, and one person shot in the head died.
Witnesses said the victim was a bystander. It was unclear whether the victim was shot by police or the attackers, who fled the scene. This is the fourth week of anti-Aristide demonstrations.
