TRENTON, N.J. — Former NBA player Jayson Williams settled a civil lawsuit filed by the family of a limousine driver who was shot to death last February at Williams' mansion.
Williams' attorneys did not release terms of the settlement, which was filed Wednesday in state Superior Court in Hackensack, N.J.
Williams, 34, is accused of recklessly handling the shotgun that killed Costas "Gus" Christofi, and trying to make the shooting appear self-inflicted. He faces nearly 45 years in prison if convicted on all charges.
