Spur Streak Ends in Dallas

The Dallas Mavericks held on to defeat San Antonio, 95-87, Thursday night at Dallas to end the Spurs' winning streak at nine.

San Antonio set an NBA record with eight consecutive road wins on their last trip, including victories at Sacramento and against the Lakers, before returning home for a 101-76 victory Tuesday night against Denver.

Tim Duncan was held to 11 points and left the game with 8:13 remaining after being poked in the eye by Michael Finley.

Sacramento 105, Boston 83 -- The Kings improved to 22-5 at home with a blowout win over the Celtics, whose most successful West Coast trip in 12 years ended with a bad loss.

Boston had won four of the first five games on the trip. But the Celtics shot less than 35%.

New Jersey 98, Indiana 91 -- Jason Kidd scored 18 of his 31 points in the fourth quarter to spark the Nets at East Rutherford, N.J. Kidd had 12 assists and nine rebounds in almost singlehandedly rallying the Nets from a 15-point third-quarter deficit.
