Inside the NHL

The Week Ahead

February 25, 2003|Chris Foster

Today, at Tampa Bay, 4 p.m. -- The Ducks and Lightning in playoff spots? Either it's a brave new world in the NHL or it's time to stock up on canned food and bottled water.

Wednesday, at Florida, 4:30 p.m. -- Ducks swing by to see what former teammates Matt Cullen and Pavel Trnka are up to these days. Former Panther Sandis Ozolinsh has three goals and seven points in 11 games since coming to the Ducks.

Friday, at Phoenix, 6 p.m., Fox Sports Net 2 -- Disappointing Coyotes may have a fire sale. Ducks sure could use a power forward-type. What's the price for Shane Doan?

Sunday, vs. Atlanta, 5 p.m., Channel 9 -- The Thrashers are a much more formidable foe since beginning therapy under Bob Hartley. Still, this should be two points if Ducks are the team they aspire to be.
