The Times is planning special year-end stock and mutual fund tables for Thursday and Monday.

Today, the regular daily stock and fund tables appear, summarizing Tuesday's trading.

On Thursday, expanded tables for the New York Stock Exchange, the Nasdaq Stock Market and the American Stock Exchange will summarize trading activity for 2002.

On Monday, expanded mutual fund tables will appear in the Business section, summarizing 2002 returns for 5,400 funds and showing Morningstar Inc.'s performance ratings for each fund.

Monday's edition also will feature articles reviewing 2002 fund performance and looking ahead to 2003.
