CS Fullerton (2-8, 0-1) at UC Santa Barbara (4-7, 1-0), 7, KEYT (1250), KWRM (1370) -- Santa Barbara's leading scorer, Branduinn Fullove, sat out Thursday's 65-49 victory over UC Riverside because of a strained groin and is doubtful tonight. Fullerton had only seven players available in Thursday's 65-44 loss at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. The Titans' leading scorer, guard Ralphy Holmes, did not play Thursday and may not be available tonight because of a ligament problem in his shooting shoulder.

UC Riverside (1-6, 0-1) at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo (5-5, 1-0), 7, KPRO (1570) -- San Luis Obispo has won four of its last five games. Riverside has dropped four in a row. Forward Shane Schilling, a transfer from Minnesota who became eligible two weeks ago, shook off a sore ankle and scored a team-high 12 points and had 17 rebounds and six assists in San Luis Obispo's 65-44 victory over Cal State Fullerton.

Idaho (4-6, 0-1) at CS Northridge (6-5, 0-1), 7 -- In their Big West openers, these two struggling teams ran into the hottest teams in the conference. Idaho, which has lost five of its last six games, was held to its lowest point total of the season and lost at Pacific, 73-50. Northridge, which has lost three in a row, was held to its lowest scoring total in nine seasons in a 59-44 home loss to Utah State. Sophomore guard Tanoris Shepard of Idaho is out for the season because of a knee injury. He was the team's second-leading scorer.

UC Irvine (6-3, 0-0) at Long Beach State (1-8, 0-0), 7:30, KUCI-FM (88.9) -- Irvine swingman Jordan Harris, one of the hottest players in the Big West right now, ate up the 49ers last season. He averaged 24.7 points in three games against Long Beach, including a career-high 30 points. Long Beach's senior guard, Lemi Williams (6.4 points, 3.6 rebounds), has left the team to recover from off-season leg surgeries. Backup guard Cody Pearson of Long Beach is out two weeks because of a knee injury.
