It's 'Rose and Walsh' no more

June 15, 2003|Don Shirley

The new Neil Simon comedy, "Rose and Walsh," which played the Geffen Playhouse earlier this year, will open in New York with a different title: "Rose's Dilemma."

The character of Rose, who was played here by Jane Alexander, has problems not only with her former lover Walsh but also with the other two characters, Simon explained in a statement released by a spokesman.

The play is scheduled to run Nov. 20-Jan. 18 at the Manhattan Theatre Club. Casting is not yet set. The Geffen is not expected to be involved.
