Man Shot to Death Inside Grocery Store

A man in his 30s was shot and killed Friday inside a South Los Angeles grocery store, police said.

The victim had just entered the A&W Market in the 6600 block of South Normandie Avenue about 6:35 p.m. when two men approached the doorway and one of them opened fire on the man, LAPD Officer Jason Lee said.

One of the men ran south and one north on Normandie Avenue, he said. Detectives ruled out robbery as a motive.
