A 7-month-old boy allegedly beaten by his mother's boyfriend remains in critical condition Friday at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center.
The baby, who suffered blunt head trauma, was breathing with the help of a respirator, said Gardena Police Det. Russ Temple. Police said Michael Jerome Marks, 30, also choked the infant's mother and abducted her 5-year-old son on Thursday. The woman was recovering and the older child was later found unhurt, police said.
