Miramax's Oscar-nominated musical "Chicago" continues to roll along. It grossed $7.9 million over the weekend, thus becoming the 24th film released in 2002 to cross the $100-million mark that for Hollywood qualifies as a blockbuster.

Meanwhile, "Poolhall Junkies" opened in limited release, grossing $301,856 at 179 venues for a per venue average of $1,686, which qualifies as a scratch.
