The Santa Ana school board will hold its first joint public meeting with the district's Bond Oversight Committee at 6 p.m. Wednesday at district headquarters, 1601 E. Chestnut St.
The school district is under pressure to build schools and expand existing ones with funds from a $145-million bond measure passed by voters in 1999. Some bond committee members have criticized the district's progress.
