Bure's Season Could Be Over

The New York Rangers probably will have to continue their race for a playoff spot without forward Pavel Bure.

Bure probably will not return this season because of knee problems, according a report in the New York Post.

The Rangers trail the New York Islanders by six points for the eighth and final playoff position in the Eastern Conference.

The San Jose Sharks fired General Manager Dean Lombardi, capping their disappointing season with a complete overhaul of an organization that won the Pacific Division last season.... Pittsburgh Penguin President Tom Rooney is stepping down as part of a reorganization ordered by team owner Mario Lemieux.... The St. Louis Blues released goalie Fred Brathwaite.
