BASEBALL

Robbie Blauer, Huntington Beach Edison: Had two-out, two-strike double in the seventh inning to tie No. 9 Marina, 1-1, and followed with another two-out, two-strike double in the ninth to give the No. 3 Chargers a 2-1 victory in the Sunset League game.

Ernie Garcia, Montclair: Threw a perfect game, with 60 strikes in 68 pitches, in 4-0 victory over Pomona Diamond Ranch in a Mt. Baldy League game.

Chris Wilson, La Verne Damien: Had two home runs and six RBIs to lift the Spartans to a 13-12 Sierra League victory over Diamond Bar.

Gary Gattis, Mission Viejo Capistrano Valley: Twice connected on two-run homers in 12-6 South Coast League win Mission Viejo.

Brandon Schnebly, Placentia El Dorado: Had three hits, including a grand slam, to lead the No. 7 Golden Hawks to a 9-4 victory over Orange El Modena in a Century League game.

Brad Peters, Thousand Oaks: Hit a grand slam in an 11-7 victory over Simi Valley in a Marmonte League game.

SOFTBALL

Ryan Horsemann, Diamond Bar: Had an RBI single in the ninth inning in a 1-0 victory over Glendora St. Lucy's, leaving both teams in a tie for first in the Sierra League.

Lauren Kamiyama, Cerritos: Threw a three-hitter with six strikeouts, had three hits and scored both runs in a 2-1 victory over Bellflower in a Suburban League game.

BOYS' TENNIS

Joe Sanchez, Anaheim Servite: Won the Serra League singles title with a 6-2, 6-4 win over Matt Ozurovich of Santa Margarita.
