* Los Angeles Washington senior Ta'Tyana McElroy, who will attend Oregon State, got her 1,000th strikeout in a 6-0 loss to San Pedro.

* Hollee Haines had five runs batted in as Riverside King (14-8) defeated Fontana Kaiser (20-3), 7-1, to clinch the Sunkist League title.

* Kelli MacKenzie of San Bernardino Cajon pitched her seventh no-hitter, an 8-0 victory over San Bernardino Pacific.


* Eagle Rock's loss of six games because of forfeits -- the Eagles left a player off their preseason roster -- opened the door for Lincoln to win its first Northern League title in 15 years with a 10-2 victory over L.A. Wilson.

* In the last seven games, Jennifer Davis of Whittier California has pitched, chronologically, a one-hitter, perfect game, perfect game, no-hitter, three-hitter, perfect game and one-hitter.

* Top-ranked Santa Ana Mater Dei needed an RBI triple from Allie Aleman in the seventh inning to send the game into extra innings, where the Monarchs beat No. 14 Westlake Village Westlake, 5-3, in eight innings.


* Mater Dei will face No. 15 Rosary twice this week. On Wednesday, they play at Clark Park to decide the Serra League championship, and on Friday, they play at Anaheim Canyon High to decide the winner of the Michelle Carew Classic.
