Tests have confirmed an outbreak of cholera in Basra, Iraq's second-largest city, the World Health Organization said.
WHO spokeswoman Fadela Chaib said tests confirmed the presence of cholera in four samples. Preliminary tests earlier identified 18 probable cases.
