Charities providing game and food booths at Thousand Oaks' Conejo Valley Days made more than $150,000 this year despite fierce rains that closed the western-themed event for the second time in its 40-year history. "We're extremely happy with the numbers," said event Chairman Scott Wolfe.
"Because we had to reschedule to Mother's Day weekend, we knew we'd be down. The nonprofits, however, were still able to make money,'' she said.
